Years before the Air Jordan 1 existed, Nike made a breakthrough in the basketball footwear division with the Nike Air Force 1. Bruce Kilgore’s design introduced Nike Air technology to a basketball shoe, a first for Nike. With its premium leather upper with the perforated toe and ankle strap, the AF1 proved reliable as a hoop shoe. After celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2022, Nike rolled out even more AF1 colourways, headlined by the monthly Colour of the Month release. This colourway features a white pebbled leather upper with green leather overlays. Split designs are all over this pair. We can see split details on the black and sail white Swoosh and the Nike Air labels on the tongue and heel. The rubber outsole also splits the design, the front has black and the other green. Sail white accents on the midsole add vintage tones to this 80s basketball shoe.
